Gifts for officials
We are required to have gifts for the officials who assist with processes in China. This includes the nannies and orphanage leader. Of course we are limited in only carrying 44 pounds in our checked luggage and 11 pounds for a carry-on....so needless to say we needed to find nice but little gifts. Chuck came up with the idea for "Lucky Money" from the US Mint. It is a 1 dollar bill that's serial numbers begin with "888"...which "8" is considered a lucky number in China. These are year of the tiger. Later on I found the Lunar stamps from the post office "Year of the Tiger" to match. Take a look!

Seeing the World all New...
Dakota's first day wearing her new glasses. She has discovered she can see a little further away! She is sporting a new pair of Hanna Montana frames complete with rinestones for sparkle. She thinks she may be able to read better at school tomorrow.
